About Adam

Adam Holland is a lifelong resident of Southern California, a founding member of Crossroads Community Church, and a history teacher at a local public high school. He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from The Master's University.

Anchored in the Storm: Pursuing Christ in the Midst of Life's Trials comes out of Adam's battle with brain cancer and his desire to grow closer to Jesus Christ and to see Christ work through his own suffering and recovery, with his identity rooted in Christ, not in his circumstances.

Adam’s second book, Anchored to the Son: Pursuing Christ when the Storm Calms comes as life returned to Adam’s life in 2015 and following. His experience of suffering and recovery allowed Adam to see the gracious and patient hand of God upon him in ways he couldn’t imagine. God is so very good!

God at Work

Adam's testimony is part of Crossroads Community Church's God at Work series, opportunities for various Crossroads family members to share the work of Jesus Christ in their lives. Adam had just finished radiation and chemotherapy when this was made in November 2014.

Mr. Holland Spotlight

A few students at the school Adam teaches at made a brief video about Anchored in the Storm for the school's daily announcements TV show, WRTV. Adam loves what he does, where he works, and the people he works with.

The CERN Foundation is "dedicated to improving the lives of those affected with ependymoma", a cancer of the central nervous system. Adam received a final diagnosis of ependymoma in February 2015 after his brain cancer being diagnosed as seven different cancers throughout the course of 2014. Adam wrote an article for the CERN Foundation's series called Inspiration Stories, stories of ependymoma patients and their families.

The article is available at http://www.cern-foundation.org/awareness/story/an-extraordinary-destiny.

Radio Interview

Adam was given an opportunity to speak with the local radio station, KHTS (hometownstation.com). It was a pleasure talking with afternoon talk show host, Tori, who runs a variety of daily programs at the station.
